How do I create a PowerPoint template?

To create a PowerPoint template, follow these steps:

  1. Open the PowerPoint presentation that you want to use as a template.
  2. Click the “File” tab in the ribbon, and then click “Save As” in the left sidebar.
  3. In the “Save As” window, select a location to save the template.
  4. In the “Save As” field, enter a name for the template.
  5. In the “Save as type” field, select “PowerPoint Template (*.potx)” from the dropdown menu.
  6. Click “Save” to save the template.

The template will be saved as a .potx file, which you can use as a starting point for new PowerPoint presentations. To use the template, click the “File” tab and select “New” in the left sidebar. Then, choose the “My templates” option in the “Available Templates” section and select the template you just saved.

Note: When you create a template, it is a good idea to leave placeholders for elements that will be different in each presentation, such as the title and main content. This will make it easier to customize the template for specific presentations.
