Presenting Slides and Viewing Notes Simultaneously
Presenting your slides while viewing your notes can be done by using Presenter View in PowerPoint, which is a great tool that helps speakers maintain a smooth and accurate delivery of their presentation.
To begin using Presenter View, follow these simple steps:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation.
- Go to the “Slide Show” tab on the ribbon at the top.
- Click on “Set Up Slide Show”.
- A dialog box will appear. Under “Multiple monitors”, tick the box for “Use Presenter View”.
- Click “OK”.
- Start the slideshow by pressing F5 on your keyboard or by clicking “From Beginning” on the “Slide Show” tab.
With Presenter View, your audience will only see your presentation, while you get a private view of your slides, upcoming slides, speaker notes, and a timer. This allows you to deliver your presentation smoothly without forgetting any important points.
Make sure your computer is connected to a projector or another display. PowerPoint automatically starts Presenter View when a projector is connected to your computer. If you’re using a single display, you can still test and use Presenter View by ticking the “Use Presenter View” box in the “Slide Show” tab.
Remember, practice makes perfect. Before your actual presentation, make sure to rehearse using Presenter View to familiarize yourself with the layout and features. This will ensure a smooth and professional presentation.
