Creating video edits in PowerPoint is a relatively simple process. Here’s how you can do it:
Insert the Video
First, click on the ‘Insert’ tab in the PowerPoint ribbon, then select ‘Video’ from the dropdown menu. You can choose to insert a video file from your computer or a video from the internet. Once you’ve selected the video you want, click ‘Insert’.
Edit the Video
After inserting the video, you can start editing it. Select the video and then click on the ‘Playback’ tab in the PowerPoint ribbon. Here you can trim the video, add a fade in and fade out, and adjust the video’s volume.
Trimming the Video
To trim the video, click on ‘Trim Video’. A new window will open where you can adjust the start and end times of the video. After making the adjustments, click ‘OK’.
Adding Fade In and Fade Out
For adding a fade in and fade out, adjust the timings in the ‘Fade In’ and ‘Fade Out’ boxes. This can add a professional touch to your videos.
Adjusting Volume
You can also adjust the volume of the video. Under the ‘Video Options’ group in the ‘Playback’ tab, you can find the ‘Volume’ option. Click on it and choose the volume level you want for your video.
Save the Edited Video
Once you’ve made all your edits, you can save the edited video. Click on the ‘File’ tab, then select ‘Save As’. Choose a location on your computer where you want to save the video, then select ‘MPEG-4 Video’ in the ‘Save as type’ dropdown menu. Type a name for your video and then click ‘Save’.
By following these steps, you can easily create video edits in PowerPoint. Remember, the goal of video editing in PowerPoint is to enhance your presentation and make your content more engaging and understandable for your audience.
