Adjusting the size of animations in PowerPoint is achievable by resizing the element to which the animation is applied, rather than directly changing the animation size. Here’s an easy step-by-step guide on how to do it:
- First, click on the object you’ve applied the animation to. The object could be a shape, image, text box, etc.
- Once the object is selected, you will see a border appear around it, with circles at each corner and midway along each edge. These circles are known as ‘resizing handles’.
- Click and drag one of these handles to change the size of the object. If you want to maintain the object’s proportions, use the corner handles. If you wish to change the height and width independently, use the side handles.
- As the object resizes, so does the animation effect applied to it.
- Once you’re satisfied with the new size, simply release the mouse button.
Note that while the animation scales with the size of the object, the speed of the animation does not. If you wish to change the animation speed, you’ll need to adjust this separately by going into the ‘Animations’ tab and changing the ‘Duration’ setting.
