Applying a design or formatting change to all slides in PowerPoint can be done using the Slide Master feature. The Slide Master is a powerful tool that allows you to control and change the design for the entire presentation, including background graphics, fonts, colors, and layouts. Here’s how you can use it:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation and click on the ‘View’ tab on the ribbon.
- Select ‘Slide Master’ from the drop-down menu.
- In the Slide Master view, you will see a list of slide layouts on the left side. The top one is the Slide Master, and the ones below it are individual layouts.
- Click on the Slide Master (the top one). Any changes you make here will affect all slides in your presentation.
- Make the desired changes. You can adjust fonts, colors, add a logo, change the background, and much more.
- Once you are done making changes, click ‘Close Master View’ in the Slide Master tab.
All your slides will now reflect the changes you made in the Slide Master. This is a great way to ensure consistency in your presentation and save time as you don’t have to manually format each slide.
Please note that some specific elements, like text content and images inserted on individual slides, cannot be edited from the Slide Master. These will need to be edited on the individual slides themselves.
