Can I edit my PowerPoint slides during a live presentation?

Yes, it is possible to edit your PowerPoint slides during a live presentation. However, this isn’t typically recommended because it can disrupt the flow of your presentation. If you want to make quick changes without exiting the presentation mode, you can use the Presenter View in PowerPoint. This feature allows you to privately view your notes, see the upcoming slides, and make minor edits without your audience seeing.

To access this feature, follow these steps:

  • Start your PowerPoint presentation as usual
  • Right-click anywhere on the slide
  • Select ‘Show Presenter View’ from the context menu

In Presenter View, you can navigate through your slides and make minor edits to the current slide. Remember, though, that this should be used sparingly, as it can be distracting to the audience if overused.

If you need to make significant changes, it’s best to exit the full-screen presentation mode and edit your slides in the normal editing mode. Afterwards, you can start the presentation again from the slide where you left off. This can be done by selecting the slide you want to present from and then clicking ‘From Current Slide’ in the ‘Slide Show’ tab.
