How can I present a PowerPoint on Google Meet?

Presenting a PowerPoint on Google Meet is a straightforward process. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

  1. Open your Google Meet session: Start or join a meeting as per your schedule.
  2. Prepare your PowerPoint presentation: Make sure you have your PowerPoint presentation open on your computer. It’s best to have it in slideshow mode or ready to be switched to slideshow mode.
  3. Share your screen: In your Google Meet session, look for the “Present Now” button usually found at the bottom right of the screen. Click on it and you’ll see three options: “Your entire screen”, “A window”, and “A Chrome tab”.
  4. Select your presentation: If you want to share your entire screen (which will include everything that is open), choose “Your entire screen”. If you want to only share the window where your PowerPoint is open, choose “A window”, then select your PowerPoint from the list of open applications. If your presentation is open in a Chrome tab, select “A Chrome tab” and choose the relevant tab.
  5. Present your PowerPoint: Once you’ve selected what you want to share, click “Share” or “Present”. Your PowerPoint should now be visible to all participants in the Google Meet session. You can now go through your slides as you normally would.
  6. Stop presenting: Once you’re done with the presentation, you can stop sharing your screen by clicking on the “Stop presenting” button in Google Meet.

Remember that you’ll still be able to see the Google Meet interface while presenting, so you can still interact with participants. Practice this process before your actual meeting to ensure a smooth presentation.
