Creating Custom Animations in Google Slides
Creating custom animations in Google Slides can help you add a dynamic element to your presentations, making them more engaging and interactive. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Step 1: Access the Animation Panel
Open your Google Slides presentation and click on the slide where you want to add the animation. Click on the ‘View’ tab, then ‘Animate’. This will open the Animation panel on the right side of the screen.
Step 2: Add an Animation
Click on the object you want to animate. It can be text, images, shapes, or any other element on the slide. Click on the ‘Add animation’ button in the Animation panel.
Step 3: Choose the Animation Type
You’ll see a list of available animations. These include Fade in, Fly in, Zoom in, and more. Click on the one you’d like to use.
Step 4: Configure the Animation Settings
Select when you want the animation to start. The options are ‘On click’, ‘After previous’, and ‘With previous’. You can also choose the speed of the animation.
Step 5: Preview the Animation
Click on the ‘Play’ button in the Animation panel to preview the animation. If you’re satisfied with the result, you can add more animations to other objects or move on to the next slide.
Remember that while animations can make your presentation more interesting, it’s important not to overdo it. Too many animations can distract your audience and make your presentation look unprofessional. Use them sparingly and only when they add value or help illustrate a point.
