Creating a walking man animation in PowerPoint can be achieved by using the custom motion path and spin animation effects. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to create the animation:
Step 1: Insert the Walking Man Image
To start, insert the walking man image on your slide. You can do this by navigating to the “Insert” tab, choosing “Pictures”, and selecting your preferred image.
Step 2: Add Custom Motion Path
With your image selected, go to the “Animations” tab, click on “More Motion Paths” under the “Add Animation” drop-down menu. From the list of paths, choose “Custom Path”. Now, draw the path on the slide where you want your walking man to move.
Step 3: Adjust Animation Settings
By default, the animation duration is set to 2 seconds. You can adjust this by clicking on “Duration” in the animation pane and setting your desired length. Make sure to select “Start With Previous” so that the animation starts as soon as you transition to the slide.
Step 4: Add Spin Animation
To make the walking man appear as though he is taking steps, add a “Spin” animation. Go to “Add Animation” and choose “Spin”. Set it to “Start With Previous” and adjust the duration to match the motion path’s duration. To make the spin subtle, click on “Effect Options” and set the spin degree to something small like 5°.
Step 5: Preview the Animation
Finally, preview your animation by clicking “Preview” in the “Animations” tab. If you’re happy with the result, save your work. If not, adjust the settings until you achieve the desired effect.
Remember, creating engaging animations requires practice. So, don’t be discouraged if your first few attempts don’t turn out perfect. Keep experimenting with different settings and effects until you create the animation that best suits your presentation.
