Overlaying a picture in PowerPoint can be done through several steps. Here’s a simple guide for you:
- Open the slide where you wish to insert the image. Navigate to the ‘Insert’ tab, then click ‘Pictures’. In the browse window, locate and select the image you want to use, then click ‘Insert’.
- To overlay the picture, insert another image by repeating the previous step. Both images should now be on the slide.
- Position the second image over the first. You can adjust its size by dragging the corners, and move it by clicking and dragging the image itself.
- To create the overlay effect, you need to adjust the transparency of the top image. To do this, select the image, then go to the ‘Picture Tools Format’ tab. Click ‘Color’ under ‘Adjust’ and choose ‘Set Transparent Color’.
- Click on the part of the image that you want to make transparent. This will create the overlay effect. You can fine-tune the transparency by going back to the ‘Color’ option and adjusting the ‘Transparency Slider’ under ‘Picture Transparency’.
