  1. First, select the text, shape, or image that you want to convert into a hyperlink. This is what your audience will click on to access the linked content.
  2. Next, right-click your selected item and choose ‘Hyperlink’ from the context menu. Alternatively, you can go to the ‘Insert’ tab in the PowerPoint ribbon and click on ‘Hyperlink’ in the ‘Links’ group.
  3. A dialog box will open. Here, you have two main options: ‘Place in This Document’ or ‘Existing File or Web Page’.
  4. If you want to link to another slide in the same presentation, choose ‘Place in This Document’. A list of your slides will appear. Click on the slide you want to link to and hit ‘OK’.
  5. If you want to link to a website, choose ‘Existing File or Web Page’. In the ‘Address’ field, type or paste the URL of the website you want to link to, then click ‘OK’.

Now, when you present your PowerPoint and click on the linked item, it will take you to the chosen slide or open the linked website in your default web browser.
