Creating videos using PowerPoint is a straightforward process. You can convert your entire presentation into a video, which can be useful for online sharing, webinars, or simply for those who couldn’t attend your presentation. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
- Once you’ve finished creating your PowerPoint presentation, go to the “File” tab in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Select “Export” in the dropdown menu that appears. This will take you to a new set of options.
- Choose “Create a Video”.
- You’ll then see some more settings. Here, you’ll be able to choose the quality of the video. You have three options: Ultra HD (4K), Full HD (1080p), and Standard HD (720p). Pick the one that suits your needs best.
- The next step is to choose whether to use recorded timings and narrations. If you’ve recorded a voiceover for your presentation and timed your slides, select “Use Recorded Timings and Narrations”. If not, you can choose “Don’t Use Recorded Timings and Narrations”.
- If you choose not to use recorded timings and narrations, you can set the default time spent on each slide. You can set this anywhere from 1 second to 59 seconds.
- Finally, click on “Create Video” and choose where you want to save it. Your PowerPoint presentation will then be converted into a video.
Remember, the conversion process can take a while, especially for longer presentations or higher video quality settings. Also, the video won’t include any interactive elements like hyperlinks or embedded content. But with this feature, PowerPoint allows you to reach your audience in a completely different, dynamic, and engaging way.
