Setting up PowerPoint slides to advance automatically is a straightforward process that involves a few simple steps:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation and navigate to the slide you want to set up to advance automatically.
- Click on the “Transitions” tab in the PowerPoint toolbar. This will open a new set of options.
- In the “Timing” group, find the “Advance Slide” section. Here, you will see an option that says “After.” Check the box next to “After.”
- Once the box is checked, you will see a numerical input field next to it. This is where you specify the amount of time you want the slide to remain on screen before it advances to the next one. The time is set in minutes and seconds.
- Input the desired duration. For example, if you want your slide to advance after 15 seconds, you would input “00:15.”
- Repeat this process for each slide you want to set up to advance automatically.
- Once you have set up all the slides, click “Apply To All” if you want the same timing for all slides.
- Save your presentation.
Now, when you play your presentation, each slide will stay on the screen for the amount of time you specified before automatically advancing to the next slide. This feature can be extremely helpful for presentations that will be played on a loop, such as at a trade show or in a lobby.
