Recording a video on PowerPoint for your presentation is a simple process. By following these steps, you can create a professional-quality video directly from your existing slides:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation.
- Go to the Slide Show tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
- Click on Record Slide Show. You can choose to start recording from the current slide or from the beginning of your presentation.
- A recording window will appear. Here you can choose whether to turn on the microphone or camera. You can also choose to record ink and laser pointer gestures.
- When you’re ready, click the Record button. You’ll see a countdown, after which the recording will begin.
- As you go through your presentation, PowerPoint will record everything that’s happening on your screen. This includes animations, ink annotations, and narration if your microphone is turned on.
- When you’ve finished recording, click the Stop button.
- To save your recording, go to the File menu, select Save As, and choose where you want to save your video. Select MPEG-4 Video or Windows Media Video as the file type.
Note: the recorded video is embedded in your presentation, and it will play when you reach the slide during your presentation. You can also opt to save the video as a separate file, which can be useful for sharing or uploading to video hosting sites.
Recording a video in PowerPoint is a great way to make your presentations more engaging and interactive. By combining visuals, animations, and narration, you can create a powerful communication tool that can be viewed and shared at any time.
