Recording a presentation in PowerPoint is a straightforward process. You can record your screen, your voice, and even video of yourself presenting. Here are the steps to record your presentation:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation and go to the “Slide Show” tab in the top navigation.
- Click on the “Record Slide Show” button. You can choose to start recording from the current slide or from the beginning of your presentation.
- A new window will open, where you can record your screen and voice. If you wish to record video of yourself, ensure your webcam is enabled. You can also use the pen, highlighter, and eraser tools to annotate your slides as you go along.
- When you’re ready, click the “Record” button in the top-left corner. PowerPoint will give you a three-second countdown before it begins recording.
- Proceed with your presentation. You can move through your slides using the arrow buttons in the top-left corner, just as you would in a regular presentation.
- Once you’ve finished recording, click the “Stop” button. Your recording will automatically save to the corresponding slide. You can review it by selecting “Play from Start” in the Slide Show tab.
- If you’re happy with your recording, save your PowerPoint presentation. Your recordings will be embedded in your presentation, ready for sharing or presenting.
Please note that this feature is only available in PowerPoint 2016, PowerPoint 2019, and PowerPoint for Office 365. If you have an older version, you may need to upgrade or use another software to record your presentations.
