To make text appear line by line in PowerPoint animations, follow these steps:
- First, select the text box that contains the text you want to animate.
- Next, go to the ‘Animations’ tab in the PowerPoint toolbar.
- From the ‘Animation’ gallery, choose the type of animation effect you prefer. Some common choices are ‘Appear’, ‘Fade’, and ‘Fly In’.
- After choosing an animation, go to the ‘Effect Options’ located at the right of the ‘Animation’ gallery. Click it and select ‘By Paragraph’ to animate the text line by line. If ‘By Paragraph’ is not available, it means the selected animation doesn’t support this option.
- If you want to control when each line appears, go to the ‘Advanced Animation’ group which is still under the ‘Animations’ tab. Click on ‘Animation Pane’.
- In the ‘Animation Pane’ that appears on the right side of your screen, you will see a list of your animations. Click on the drop-down arrow next to your text animation and choose ‘Start On Click’. This will allow you to control when the next line of text appears during your presentation.
By following these steps, you can create a more engaging and dynamic presentation by controlling the flow of information with line-by-line text animations.
