- Open Microsoft PowerPoint and click on the ‘File’ tab in the top left corner.
- Select ‘Open’ from the drop-down menu and then choose the PowerPoint presentation into which you want to import the template.
- Once your presentation is open, click on the ‘Design’ tab in the top toolbar.
- In the ‘Design’ menu, click on the ‘Browse for Themes’ button on the far-right side. It’s represented by a downward arrow beside the ‘Themes’ section.
- Find the PowerPoint template you want to import in your computer’s files and select ‘Apply’.
Note that importing a new template will change the design of all the slides in your presentation. If you want to apply the template to specific slides only, select those slides in the left-hand overview panel, right-click on the desired template, and choose ‘Apply to Selected Slides’.
If you want to make the imported template the default one for future presentations, right-click on it and select ‘Set as Default Theme’. This can save you time and ensure consistency across all your presentations.
