Creating animations in Google Slides is a simple yet effective way to make your presentation more engaging and interactive. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:
Step 1: Open Your Presentation
Begin by opening your Google Slides presentation. You can do this by navigating to Google Drive, selecting ‘New’, then ‘Google Slides’. You can either choose to create a new presentation or open an existing one.
Step 2: Select The Object To Animate
Once your presentation is open, click on the slide where you want to add an animation. Select the text box, image, shape, or other objects you wish to animate.
Step 3: Add An Animation
With the object selected, navigate to the menu at the top of the screen and click on ‘Insert’, then ‘Animation’. A sidebar will appear on the right side of the screen. Under the ‘Animate’ section, click on ‘Add animation’.
Step 4: Choose The Type Of Animation
You can now choose the type of animation you want to use. There are various options for you to choose from, such as ‘Fade in’, ‘Zoom in’, ‘Spin’, and more. Choose one that best suits your presentation design.
Step 5: Customize The Animation
Now it’s time to customize your animation. You can adjust the speed of the animation, decide whether it starts on click, with previous, or after previous. You can also decide if you want the animation to happen once, or repeat until the end of the slide.
Step 6: Preview The Animation
Once you’ve set up your animation, click ‘Play’ to preview it. If you’re happy with the animation, you can continue with your presentation. If not, you can always go back and adjust the settings until you’re satisfied.
Adding animations to your Google Slides can bring a dynamic element to your presentation, making it more visually appealing and engaging for your audience. It’s a great way to highlight important information, transition between different topics, or simply add a touch of professionalism to your slides.
