- Go to the Animations tab in the PowerPoint ribbon.
- In the Animations group, click on the Custom Animation button. This will open the Custom Animation task pane on the right side of the screen.
- Click on the Add Effect button in the Custom Animation pane. A dropdown menu will appear with four options: Entrance, Emphasis, Exit, and Motion Paths. Choose the effect you want to apply.
- Select the specific animation effect from the submenu. The object will preview the animation.
Customizing Animations
- After adding an effect, select it in the Custom Animation pane to customize it.
- Click on the dropdown arrow next to the animation in the list and select Effect Options. This will open a dialog box with more settings.
- Modify the effect as needed. You can adjust the speed, direction, and other properties depending on the type of animation.
- You can also set the animation to start on click, with previous, or after previous by using the Start dropdown in the timing group.
- Click OK to apply the changes.
Note: You can add multiple animations to one object by repeating the steps above. The animations will appear in the order in which you apply them.
