To create a slideshow on Google Docs, you’ll actually need to use Google Slides, a separate but integrated Google product for creating presentations. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Open Google Drive by navigating to drive.google.com on your web browser and sign in with your Google account.
- Click the “+ New” button on the left-hand side of the screen, then select “Google Slides” from the dropdown menu. This will open a new Google Slides presentation.
- Now, you can start creating your slideshow. Click on the “+” button to add new slides, and use the toolbar at the top of the screen to add text, images, shapes, and more.
- To change the layout of your slide, click on “Slide” on the top menu, then “Change layout.” You can choose from a variety of pre-made slide layouts.
