Creating a slide template in Google Slides is a straightforward process that you can easily do. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- First, open Google Slides and click on the ‘File’ tab in the menu. From the dropdown menu, select ‘New’ and then ‘Presentation’ to start creating a new slide deck.
- Next, select a theme for your presentation from the right sidebar. You can choose from a variety of pre-made themes or create your own by customizing the background, text, and other elements.
- Once you’ve chosen a theme, click on the ‘Slide’ tab in the menu and select ‘Edit master’.
- In the master view, you can edit the slide templates to suit your needs. You can add your branding, change the font and colors, add placeholders for text and images, and more. The changes you make here will apply to all the slides in your presentation.
- After you’ve made all your changes, click on the ‘Slide’ tab again and select ‘1 slide with layout’. Here, you can choose from your updated slide templates.
- To save your customized template for future use, go back to the ‘File’ tab, click on ‘Save as’, and then ‘Google Slides template’. Give your template a name and click ‘Save’.
Now you have your own custom slide template in Google Slides, ready to be used for any future presentations. Just remember, every time you want to use this template, you’ll need to go to ‘File’, then ‘New’, and finally ‘From template’, and select your saved template from there.
