Creating a PowerPoint slide in portrait orientation is a straightforward process. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation and go to the “Design” tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
- In the “Design” tab, look for the “Slide Size” option. Click on it to open a drop-down menu.
- From the drop-down menu, select “Custom Slide Size.”
- In the “Slide Size” dialog box that appears, you will see two options: “Portrait” and “Landscape.” Choose the “Portrait” option.
- Next, you have the choice of selecting the slide’s dimensions. Choose from the pre-set options or enter your custom dimensions.
- Once you’ve selected your preferences, click “OK.”
- A pop-up box will appear asking how you’d like to scale your content. Choose either “Maximize” to increase the size of your content to fill the slide or “Ensure Fit” to make sure all content fits on the new slide.
And you’re done! Your PowerPoint slide is now in portrait orientation. Remember, changing the orientation will affect all slides in your presentation. If you’d like only specific slides in portrait orientation, you might consider creating separate presentations for different orientations and then merging them as required.
