Creating Custom Layouts in Google Slides
Creating a custom layout in Google Slides provides an excellent opportunity to add a personal touch to your presentations. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you achieve this:
Step 1: Open Google Slides
First, sign in to your Google account. Navigate to Google Drive and click on “New” > “Google Slides”.
Step 2: Select Your Theme
Select a theme from the right-hand side panel. If you don’t prefer any of the available themes, choose the “Simple Light” or “Simple Dark” option.
Step 3: Access the Master Slide
Go to the toolbar and click on “Slide” > “Edit master”. This will open the master slide, which controls the overall look of your presentation.
Step 4: Create a New Layout
In the master slide view, click on the “+” button to add a new layout. This new layout will appear as a blank slide where you can add your desired elements.
Step 5: Customize Your Layout
Add text boxes, shapes, images, or whatever else you need for your design. You can also adjust the font, color, and size of your text. Remember, any changes you make here will apply to all slides using this layout.
Step 6: Apply Your New Layout
After customizing, exit the master slide view by clicking on the “X” in the top-right corner. To apply your new layout, right-click on a slide in the left-hand panel, select “Apply layout”, and choose your new custom layout.
