Converting your PowerPoint presentation into an MP4 video format is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to get started:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation and click on the ‘File’ tab in the top left corner.
- From the dropdown menu, select ‘Export’.
- Choose ‘Create a Video’.
- You’ll then see some options for video quality. Choose the one that best suits your needs. For high quality, select ‘Full HD (1080p)’, and for a smaller file size, choose ‘Standard HD (720p)’ or ‘Low Quality (480p)’.
- Next, choose whether to use recorded timings and narrations. If you’ve pre-recorded any voiceovers or timed your slides, select ‘Use Recorded Timings and Narrations’. If not, select ‘Don’t Use Recorded Timings and Narrations’.
- Then, set the seconds spent on each slide by adjusting the ‘Seconds spent on each slide’ box.
- Click ‘Create Video’, name your video file, and choose the location where you want to save it.
- Click ‘Save’ and PowerPoint will begin converting your presentation into a video.
Once the conversion is complete, you’ll have a video version of your presentation that you can share, embed, or play anywhere you would a standard video file.
Remember, though, if your PowerPoint presentation uses specific fonts, animations, or audio/video embeds, they may not appear or play correctly in the video version depending on the codecs installed on your computer. Always review the final video to ensure everything displays and plays as expected.
