Changing the background color of a PowerPoint slide to black is a simple process that can help emphasize your content or create a different mood for your presentation. Follow the steps below:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation and select the slide where you want to change the background color.
- Go to the “Design” tab in the top menu.
- Click on “Format Background”. A pane will appear on the right side.
- In this pane, choose the “Solid fill” option.
- Click on the “Color” button to reveal a dropdown menu with different color options.
- Choose black from the color options. If black isn’t available, select “More Colors” and then choose black.
- If you want to apply this color to all slides in your presentation, click on “Apply to All”. If you only want to change the color of the current slide, just close the pane.
Now, your selected slide or slides should have a black background. Keep in mind that using a darker background may require you to adjust the text color to maintain visibility and readability. Always preview your slides to ensure your content is easy to read.
